The Two-Centuries-Old Wat Suthat Thepwararam is one of six Grade A royal Buddhist temples in Thailand. Currently having major renovation again. Due to financial constraints, the latest renovation is being done in
stages. It began with the Ubosots around the preaching Ubosot. It requires fine skill and a knowledge of history. The entire renovation from Fine Art Department
of Wat Suthat Thepwararam is expected to take five to six years.
His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke, or King Rama I the Great, started the construction of Wat Suthat Thepwararam in year 1807 and Grand Ubosot in typical Siamese architectural style is known around
the world and draws hordes of tourists and locals each day. The main Ubosot in renovation progess, the walkway been built for smooth working progess.
