Wat Si Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai) ~ The Phra Prang Chedi & Small Museum (Part 2/3).

Part 1 we're sharing the photos of famous Phra Puttha Chinnaraj statue at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. Today we will futher sharing in Part 2 of temple surrounding with Phra Prang (pagoda) style of Wiharn, small museum of the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya era and other religious artifacts can be found within the vicinity.

 The sacred Phra Prang (pagoda) of 36 meter high, constructed using the early Ayutthaya style to enshrine the relic of the Lord Buddha. This sacred Phra Prang located at center of the main Wiharn of housing the Phra Puttha Cinnaraj. The back side is located the small Museum and Phra Cinnasi statue.

 The photo taken with replica of Phra Si Satsada & Puttha Chinnasi statue (see part 3). The sacred of Phra Puttha Chinnasi and Phra Si Satsada were invited to be housed at Wat Bowonniwet wihan. Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat later made smaller replica images to replace the originals.
 Here is the small museum for exhibiting Phra Buddha images of the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya era and other religious artifacts can be see within the vicinity.

Wat Benchamabophit - Marble Temple In Bangkok Thailand.

Wat Benchamabophit or better known to foreigners as 'the Marble Temple', is a royal monastery belonging to the first class temple in Thailand. The name 'Wat Bechamabophit' simply means : the temple of the Fifth King, founded during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in year 1900. The Ubosoth was constructed with Carrara marble from Italy, it is one of Bangkok's most beautiful temples and a major tourist attraction. During my visited in year 2010, the temple Ubosot was under renovation. The photos taken with the giant gracing Singha in front of the Ubosot.Wat Benchamabophit, the Ubosoth Hall is one of the finest works of architectural art of the Bangkok period. Inside the Ubosot, veneration of Phra Buddha Chinnaraj the main Buddha image. It is a replica of Phra Buddha Chinnarat at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat in Phitsanulok province.
