Short Trip To Ayutthaya ~ Wat Klang Klong Takian - The Famous Phra Somdej Kring Klong Takian.

This time we spent a short trips in Ayutthaya and came to Wat Klang Klong Takian. The very old temple with rich past historical in Buddhism. Wat Klang Klong Takian, over 500 years old monastery in Ayutthaya of Thailand, is commonly known as Wat Klang PakKran by the local Thai people. Wat Klang Klong Takian or the Monastery in the middle of Takian Canal is an  active temple located off the city island in the southern area of Ayutthaya in Pak Kran Sub-district. It was built in the early Ayutthaya period together with its twins, Wat Nak (presently was deserted). Both temples were in its full glory for more than four centuries. The general public often notified them as Wat Nak & Wat Klang temples. In the 17th century when Ayutthaya was sacked, many temples were deserted and largely forgotten. Wat Klang Klong Takien's days of glory were over. In the aftermath of war, Wat Klang Klong Takian laid in ruin eventually. Only left the sacred ancient amulet called Phra Somdej Kring Klong Takian.
