LP Sila Sirichanto was born with the name Sila Nilchan on October 14, BE2488, during the 8th waxing moon of the 11th month in the Year of the Rooster. He is currently 79 years old (this year BE2567). At the age of 15, he was ordained as a novice monk at Wat That Prathap and he was ordained into the Maha Nikaya sect in BE 2509 at Wat Burapha Phiram, Roi Et Province, under the supervision of Phra Siriwutthimethi, who was the provincial monk leader at that time. LP Sila dedicated himself to studying Buddhist scriptures, successfully passing the highest level of the Dhamma examination (Nak Tham Ek) and receiving the sixth-level Pali certificate. He was presented with the monk’s fan by King Rama IX in BE2515 at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram (Wat Phra Kaew ~ Temple of the Emerald Buddha). Visiting LP Sila Sirichanto ~ Wat Phra That Muen Hin - Kalasin Province - Thailand.

LP Sila Sirichanto is serves as abbot of Wat PhraThat Muen Hin, i had the opportunity to travel to pay respects to Luang Pu Sila in Kalasin province. Before traveling, you must check whether Luang Pu Sila is at a Thamma Utthayan Dhamma Park or Wat PhraThat Muen Hin. In this temple, the landmark is the sacred PhraThat White Chedi and when climb up you can see that the mountains surround this temple.
LP Sila is well-known for his wisdom, kindness, and mastery of Vipassana meditation, all of which are said to have given him to the power of premonition, which his disciples have witnessed first-hand. Many Thais have reported receiving great good fortune after receiving his blessing. Like other famous Isaan monks, LP Sila spent much time hiking the mountain forests of Northeast Thailand (in keeping with the Buddhist forest tradition established by the legendary ascetic monk Ajarn Man Phurithatto Thera).

Photo taken at the entrance with temple board and banner of LP Sila. Luang Pu Maha Sila Sirichanto is currently the abbot of Wat PhraThat Muen Hin, Kalasin Province. He is a renowned monk of the Isan region, known for his great compassion, spiritual power, and profound insight, earning the respect and faith of his disciples nationwide.
