Visiting Wat Pho Thong ~ LP Wara - The Temple Of Phaya Krut Garuda - Bangkok - Thailand.

Wat Pho Thong located on the outskirts of Bangkok town and famous for Land of Lord Garuda. Wat Pho Thong is a royal temple under the Maha Nikaya Sangha, located in Chom Thong District, Bangkok. Wat Pho Thong was established in 1907 and was originally named Wat Thung. It is assumed that the Bunnag family built it. Because this family has gardens and fields in this area with Khmer people who immigrated to farm in the Chao Khun Canal area. The temple was located at the end of the gardens and rice fields that the Khmers were working on. Originally the chapel was made of wood. Located to the north of the temple. But it does not appear when the chapel was built. It is assumed that this chapel was abolished after the new chapel was built in 1907. Later, in 1964, the name was changed to "Wat Pho Thong" and received the Royal Wisungkhamsima on January 15, 1970. The new chapel was built in place of the old one in 1972 and renovated in 2000 to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great's 60th anniversary of accession to the throne. Later, when In 2012 it was renovated again. Inside the chapel is the main Buddha image. It is a Buddha image in the Maravichai posture with a lap width of 60 inches. There are murals by craftsmen at the Institute of Craftsmanship. Pictures of royal duties honoring His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.

Golden Phaya Krut Garuda or another name is called "Suban" meaning magical feathers. Garuda was originally named "Ventai" and was born from Winta. Garuda was born with great strength. It had a golden glow that was a hundred times brighter than the sun. It had a head, beak, and wings like an eagle's, but its limbs were like a human's.
Next to the shrine is 2 White Chedis and LP Wara pavilion building at back.
LP Wara of Wat Pho Thong - Bangkok (born 7th Dec 1961 and ordained as monk 6th July 1985) is famously making efficacious Phaya Krut Garuda amulets and many many more.... He is well known by local and oversea devotees for his Wicha for created efficacious amulets. He is a good monk and a lot of people admire and respect him very much. LP Wara is the main person of developing Wat Pho Thong and also Wat Pho Thong School (located next to temple).
The life of LP Wara is uncommon. He was born on the 7th December 1961 in Bangkok. He lived in Muslim family. His father is a Muslim but his mother is a Buddhist. However, LP Wara must be a Muslim like his father. In 1971, at the age of 10, LP Wara had a serious illness. His parents took him to the hospital, but the doctor couldn’t indicate what the disease of LP Wara was. LP Wara wasn’t get well at all and nearly died. The doctor tried to save his life by using defibrillator. At that time, LP Wara was unconscious. He dreamt of a radius monk. A radius monk told LP Wara that his name was “Phaya Majurin Nagaraj”. He told more about karma he did with LP Wara previous many lives and the way to make LP Wara survive was being in Buddhism. In LP Wara’s dream, he said to the monk that he would follow Buddhism. Wonderfully, LP Wara was conscious while the doctor was shocking his heart. Then he came back home. He told his mother everything except his father because he realized that his father wouldn’t believe him. LP Wara kept dreaming of that monk, “Phaya Majurin Nagaraj” for many years. Phaya Majurin Nagaraj taught LP Wara dhamma teaching of Buddha. LP Wara gradually absorbed dhamma and follow it. In 1981, LP Wara dreamt of Phaya Majurin Nagaraj again, Phaya Majurin Nagaraj told him to get ordained as a monk or his father would die. However, LP Wara didn’t do that because he was afraid that his father wouldn’t allow. In the same year, his father died of heart attack. Four years later, LP Wara decided to get ordained. He got ordained on the 6th July 1985 at Wat Pho Thong, Bangkok. After ordination, LP Wara has set his heart on dhamma and meditation. He went on a pilgrimage to the forest to gained strong mindfulness.
