Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat (Suphanburi) ~ Temple New Section & LP Po ~ Phra PhongSuphan Of Benjapakee (Part 2/2).

This part we will sharing the new section of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat and former abbot of the late LP Po, who's contributed a lot for restoring and built the temple.
 The main Ubosot and King Naresuan riding horse statue at front.

The small shrine for late LP Po, former abbot of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. He was a famous monk in Suphanburi and contributed a lot for restoring and built the temple.

Wat Si Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai) ~ Ancient Cloisters With Phra Attharot (Part 3/3).

Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat first constructions of the cloisters were started in 1357. After you have visited the Phra Puttha Cinnaraj image, don’t forget to walk around to the back to see this ancient site of Wat Si Rattana Mahathat with standing Phra Buddha (Phra Attharot) with a Prang (chedi) behind it and enshrines relics of the Phra Buddha. The corncob shaped top of the Prang in gold color contains 4 rows of niches enshrining images of the Buddha. In contrast to the main hall, this area was deserted.
 The photo taken with standing Phra Buddha Attharot and the ancient site. This old ancient temple ground (middle area of standing Budhha) which know as 'Phra Atta Rassa'. This area of ancient art antiquities of Sukhothai art. The only remaining pieces of architectural styles that reflect the ancient temple of Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat.

The photo taken with replica of Phra Si Satsada & Puttha Chinnasi statue (see part 2). The sacred of Phra Puttha Chinnasi and Phra Si Satsada were invited to be housed at Wat Bowonniwet wihan. Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat later made smaller replica images to replace the originals.
Mural painting, King Naresuan had been appointed to a Great Regent to rule Phitsanulok.

 King Naresuan had slay the Burma's General Luk-wai-Tham-moo with his javelin at the Lum-plee field.
 King Naresuan along with his Warriors came to worship Phra Puttha Cinnaraj at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat.

Wat Si Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai) ~ The Phra Prang Chedi & Small Museum (Part 2/3).

Part 1 we're sharing the photos of famous Phra Puttha Chinnaraj statue at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. Today we will futher sharing in Part 2 of temple surrounding with Phra Prang (pagoda) style of Wiharn, small museum of the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya era and other religious artifacts can be found within the vicinity.

 The sacred Phra Prang (pagoda) of 36 meter high, constructed using the early Ayutthaya style to enshrine the relic of the Lord Buddha. This sacred Phra Prang located at center of the main Wiharn of housing the Phra Puttha Cinnaraj. The back side is located the small Museum and Phra Cinnasi statue.
