Visiting Wat Pha Nam Thip Thep Prasit Wanaram ~ Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon - Roi Et - Thailand.

The Great, Victorious and Auspicious Pagoda ~ Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon, is one of the largest Chedis (pagoda) in Thailand. It is located on the grounds of the Wat Pha Nam Thip Thep Prasit Wanaram, a temple complex on the Nam Yoi cliff in Roi Et province in rural Northeastern Thailand. This huge Chedi is 101 meters long, 101 meters wide and 101 meters high, including the gold top is 109 meters, using gold weighing about 60 kilograms.

The biography for Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon ~ Wat Pha Nam Thip Thep Prasit Wanaram (or local called as Wat Pha Nam Yoi) with exquisite by using contemporary art between the central and northeastern regions. This is a Thammayut temple and a Buddhist park with built with Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon and enshrine sacred Buddha Relics. In year BE2493-BE2494, LP Maha Weero went on a pilgrimage to practiced Samatha meditation in this area and he brought disciples of monks to practice Dhamma until BE2500. During that time, this area 'Nam Yoi' cliff was a forest very suitable to practiced Samatha meditation. Until this Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon was built from year BE2531 to BE2539 and in year BE2540 the Buddha's relics were enshrined.

Here the enclosure, we’re surrounded by an awe-inspiring sight with countless statues of the Buddha fill the area, each one radiating peace and serenity. Encircling the Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkhon in center.

The biography of Phra Ajahn Mun, the exhibition of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Venerable Phra Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta Mahathera. He established the Thai Forest Tradition (the kammaṭṭhana tradition) that subsequently spread throughout Thailand and to several countries abroad. He died at Wat Suddhavasa, Sakhon Nakhon province.
The lift for only 3 storey, not in use during my visited. Must use staircase for connect each floor.
