Wat Bang Thong (Wat Mahathat Wachiramongkol), the land of Great Sacred Auspiciousness in Krabi province. The temple highlight is its highest Golden Chedi in southern Thailand, the 'Phra Mahathat Chedi'. It inspired by the MahaBodhi Chedi, in Bodhgaya Gaya, India, the place where Lord Buddha attained Enlightenment. The sacred Golden 'Phra Mahathat Chedi' is highest structure in Buddhist temple in southern Thailand. While the land was donated in 1940, the construction of the current version of Wat Bang Thong temple began in 1997. Abbot LP Chai (PhraThep Wachirakorn) found the temple in such a damaged state that he preferred to demolish it completely except the ubosot and rebuild a new complex. He also made Wat Bang Tong a place for Dharma-Pali study. It was in 2002, with the construction of the Golden 'Phra Mahathat Chedi' was built to honor of the 50th birthday of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn (King Rama X).

Phra Phuttha Ruang Pang Peid Lok, the 32 meter height statue of 'Phra Buddha Open The World' posture. This statue built in year BE2561 to offer merit to her Majesty Queen Sirikit. As well as to serve as a center of the hearts of Buddhists and a source of study for Buddhism.
Along the way can see many buildings dedicated to teaching Dharma-Pali was established within the temple grounds. This facility provides monks and novices with a place to study and deepen their understanding of Buddhist teachings.
