Erawan Shrine ~ Thao Maha Brahma of Phra Phrom.

At the end of the year in 1955, the Union of Thai Hotel & Tourism Company Limited, the founder of the Erawan Hotel was told by Rear Admiral Luang Suwichanphaet, who speciallized in Astrology, that the original moment for laying the founation stone of the Erawan Hotel was not really right auspicious moment.
It must be corrected by building a shrine of the Thao Maha Brahma and a spirit in the are of the Hotel. Then a shrine with the image of the Thao Maha Brahma and a Sacred House were built followed the advice. The image was a sculpture in plaster covered with Gold Leaf, which was designed and sculpted by MR. Chit Phimkowit, a sculptor of the Fine Arts Department. It was brought to enshrine there since the 9th November 1956 and a worship ceremony of the image has been held on the 9th November of every year.

During a recent visit, we are fortunate to take some photos of sacred materials used in making the popular Somdej Kaiser BE2529.

Here is the the sacred Holy substances for making the Somdej Kaiser BE 2529 are displyed in cabinet. All these sacred materials took 25 years to collect and took 3 year to consecrated by 99 Top monks in 9 Grand ceremony.

Wat Traimit - Phra Buddha Mahasuwan Pathimakorn (Golden Buddha) BE 2553 In Bangkok Thailand.

The Amazing of the Phra Maha Mondop building at Wat Traimit in Yaowarat, Bangkok in the year BE 2553.
Finally the Maha Mondop of Wat Traimit was opened to devotees to pay respect to 'Golden Buddha' Phra Buddha Mahasuwan Pathimakorn. The Golden Buddha was enshrine inside this new building.

The close view of stunning designed Phra Maha Mondop. The beautiful 3D murals are embedded on the building walls.

The center balcony commands an impressive view of temple compound. The bell is located at balcony too.Inside the Hall of Golden Buddha, enshrine the Holy Wonder of Phra Buddha Mahasuwan Pathimakorn or Phra Sukhothai Trimitr Golden Buddha Image.

Yaowarat ChinaTown Heritage Center also located inside the Phra Maha Mondop ground floor.

The Main Ubosot of Wat Traimit, the amulet counter is beside the Ubosot.The variety of Golden Buddha amulets are available for devotees renting.
