Visiting 'The Big Buddha' ~ Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Ekanakkiri - Phuket - Thailand.

After a long hike by car ride, which takes you along a windy uphill road, bringing you along cafes with incredible views, you arrive at the Big Buddha Phuket. The statue Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Ekanakkiri is much bigger than expected and is fascinating to look at. Views are incredible on a sunny and clear day.

Besides the impressive The Big Buddha statue overlooking Chalong Bay from the front face of the image and of Kata & Karon and other smaller bays to the rear, the 360ยบ view is just gorgeous.
Simply stunning. The view from this place is awesome . The big Buddha is nicely built with nice craftsmanship.
It is a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya posture, contemporary art, with a lap width of 25.45 meters and a height of 45 meters. The structure is reinforced concrete and decorated with white jade marble "Suriyakantha" from Burma. The weight of the marble and white jade alone is approximately 135 tons or approximately 2,500 square meters. It is enshrined at Buddha Park on the top of Nakkerd Hill, Karon Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phuket Province. Later, the image was bestowed the name "Phra Phuttha Ming Mongkol Ekanakkiri" by Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara (Yannasangwon), the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand.

The Gong at The Big Buddha - Phuket. Devotees rub the gong to "awaken" it and show respect to the Buddha. Instead of striking the gong, a rubber mallet or a padded stick is rubbed in a circular motion along the rim or surface of the gong. This rubbing creates friction, which causes the metal to vibrate. These vibrations slowly build up and produce a resonant, deep, and rising tone.

Revisited Again BE2567 ~ LP Phrom Of Wat Bansuan - Phatthalung - Thailand.

The iconic large Chedi of Wat Ban Suan is unique in this area—such a structure is rare even in nearby provinces. Built through the collective power of faith, it stands as a testament to the devotion of the local community. That's why I always come to visit whenever I'm in Phatthalung province.
Wat Bansuan, Khuan Khanun district in Phatthalung province has been passed down as being built since ancient when the Ayutthaya period as the capital. Wat Bansuan was built by the old master guru monks of Wat Kao Or. Therefore, it can be said that it is another branch temple of Wat Kao Or, monks who shares both spiritual teachings (Dhamma) and mystical knowledge (Wicha). Wat Bansuan is related to Wat Kao Or because of history past abbot LP Khong (Phrakru Phiphat Sirithorn). He was former abbot of Wat Bansuan, who is a disciple of Wat Kao Or and the amulets consecrated by LP Khong had many miracles experience. The temple follows the teachings and magical practices of the Kao Or school of Wicha, a prominent lineage in Southern Thailand.
The current of Chedi Wat Bansuan with new renovation and new painted. During my previous visit, Chedi was undergoing some renovation work.
LP Phrom (current abbot of Wat Bansuan) is a respected Thai Buddhist monk and abbot of Wat Bansuan in Phatthalung province. He is known for his knowledge of traditional magic, having studied at Samnak Kao Or Tak Sila and for his charitable work, including providing scholarships to students and novices. As the abbot, he has developed Wat Bansuan and focuses on both religious teachings and social welfare. He continues the work of his predecessor LP Khong (Phrakru Phiphat Sirithorn), developing the monastery and serving the community. LP Phrom (Phrakhru Khan Taya Phon), was born on Monday 10 March BE2485 in Phatthalung province. When LP Phrom was 20 years old, he went into monkhood at Wat Bansuan that had LP Khong (Phrakhru Phiphat Siri Thon) was the preceptor. He went to Bangkok for studying the buddha’s teaching at Wat Traimit until then LP Khong died, he came back to Wat Bansuan and became  as the abbot of Wat Bansuan. LP Phrom has developed and built the public benefits for the people and has given the scholar ship to the student and the novice who is poor.
LP Phrom is the well kwon monk that studied the magic from Wat Kao Or by followed LP Khong who was the former abbot of Wat Ban Suan and the teacher of Ajahn Chum Chaikiri. LP Phrom is well known monk and top expert in the magic wicha monks in southern of Thailand.
Receiving a blessing from LP Phrom for all sacred items. Reverend Father LP Phrom is highly respected in southern Thailand and there are many people admire him. Receiving a blessing from Luang Phor Phrom is a deeply humbling and sacred experience. His kindness and humility are truly inspiring.

Mae Chee Boon Reun was born in 4th March BE2437 and passed away in 7th September BE2507 at the age of 70 years old. She was a very close disciple of Lp Sod Wat Paknam where she learnt the way of meditation till a very high level. She first started off learning meditation at 15 years old under her uncle who is LP Prink Wat Bangpakod. She later got married to a police sergeant but did not stop her practice of meditation. After marriage she often went to Wat SamPhanThaWong to meditate because she felt very peaceful there and even encourage her husband to ordain as a monk there. When her husband retired, she decided to ordain herself as a nun. She then resided in a house where it is named as Baan Samnak Kisut. In this samnak, Mae Chee Boon Reun practiced and taught meditation to anybody who came. She also had many people queuing at her doorstep everyday because of her healing powers. She later moved to Wat Saranat Thammaram ~ Rayong for one year to continue meditation before coming back to reside in Wat Awut Wikasitaram until she passed on.
