Visiting Hatyai City Municipal Park BE2566 ~ Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat - Songkhla - Thailand.

The top of Kho Hong mountain is dedicated to enshrined a large Buddha image in the posture of giving a blessing called “Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat”. Visiting here is one of the main tourist attraction in HatYai and located at Kho Hong mountain. You can drive to the top with two hills and 3 attraction at Hat Yai Municipal Park.
“Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat” standing with incredible views, tranquil and has some great places you can have some good photos.
The giant golden Buddha named Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat, it's around 20 meters weighs 200 tons and was made in 1999 to celebrate the King of Thailand's 6th Cycle Birthday Celebration which was his 72nd birthday. The statue with His right hand had raised with forefinger and thumb touching each other, this mudra denotes 'Intelligence, Intellect and Integrity'.

The base part of Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat is the prayer hall.

A cable car links this hill (Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Maharat) to another hill where the San Phra Phrom (Brahma Shrine) is located. This site and the Brahma shrine are connected by a cable-car service, the only one of its kind in Thailand. Hat Yai Cable Car, the first cable car in Thailand with two cable cars for the distance of 525 metres that takes 2.5 minutes per time and can carry eight passengers per time.
