Visiting Wat ChaMao BE2566 ~ The Old City Temple At Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Wat ChaMao established in year 1835 (formerly known as Wat Moli) and deserted, until rebuilt in year 1915. In the past, the area was divided into 3 ancient temples (records of abandoned temples in Muang of Nakhon Si Thammarat), 1) Wat Samitthan, 2)Wat Pradoo Khien, 3)Wat Moli (now as Wat ChaMao). Later in the year 1915, or above 100 years ago, Chao Khun Sirithammamuni ordered the 3 temples to combines as one temple, which is now Wat ChaMao. The present abbot of Wat ChaMao is LP Kasem Khemcitto revealed that it occurred at the end of April 2011, the Buddha image was called by the villagers as "Phra Puttha LP Soong", with a lap width of about 3 meters and found an inscription at the base of the Buddha image saying that it was built in year 1079. The sacred Phra Puttha LP Soong enshrined at the original location at Wat Pradoo Khian.
