Visiting Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen (Wat Puttha Wanaram) ~ LP Suriyan Kosapanyo - Maha Sarakham - Thailand (Part 1/2).

Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen has become a major tourist attraction in Maha Sarakham province. Phra Ajarn Suriyan Kosapanyo has preserved and developed this temple to be stunningly beautiful with rare wood work art of temple building and also of the sacred Phra Buddha statues. The main highlight is the largest golden teakwood pavilion in the world, made entirely of real golden teakwood, along with 32 large golden teakwood pillars. In this part 1/2, we will share photos of Phra Chedi Sri Maha Sarakham (with surrounding) and part 2/2 will share photos of LP Suriyan Kosapanyo (with surrounding).

Here the road divided old and new phase of temple Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen. This temple Wat Pa Wang Nam Yen was built by Phra Ajarn Suriyan Kosapanyo, a disciple of Luang Pu Khampan Kosapanyo, a revered monk among the people of Isan. It was built in BE2549 and now still in progress expansion.

This Chedi is beautiful and shows the glory of Buddhism in Taksila Nakhon, as the motto of Maha Sarakham province says, “Buddha Monument of Isan, Home of Civilization, Valuable Silk, Taksila Nakhon.”

Then we went to see the prayer hall, which uses 112 wooden pillars and is considered the largest wooden prayer hall in Thailand. This wooden building is double storey with high ceiling for second floor.

Revisited Wat Donsala BE2566 ~ Ceremony For New Batch Amulets & Statues ~ Phatthalung - Thailand.

During my visited to Wat Donsala in December BE2566 was the rainy season and coincidence have ceremony blessing for new batch amulets of Wat Donsala. Later all top monks and Phra Ajahn in Phatthalung area will come to here for attend the blessing ceremony, but without for previous abbot LP Uthai. The previous 11th chief abbot of Wat Donsala LP Uthai was passed away on 13th April BE2563.
The Ubosot of Wat Donsala, here later will conducted and performed a blessing ceremony for new batch amulets. 
The main Phra Buddha statue inside the Ubosot and portrait Phra Ajahn Nam Chinnawaro (BE2434-2519). See more details of Phra Ajahn Nam Chinnawaro in my previous posted or 'Wat Donsala'. Beside also with portrait of HM King Rama 9 with Phra Ajahn Nam when HM King Rama 9 visited to Wat Donsala. Wat Donsala is an important temple and His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej visited here Wat Donsala 3 times. His Majesty has traveled here to perform royal duties three times, namely:
1st time (4th visit to Phatthalung) on ​​26 September 1972
His Royal Highness proceeded to raise the chofah of the Ubosot at Wat Donsala.
2nd time (5th visit to Phatthalung) on ​​16 May 1976
His Royal Highness went to perform the ceremony at Wat Donsala and visited the sick condition of Phra Ajahn Nam Chinnawaro.
3rd time (6th visit to Phatthalung) on ​​8 September 1977
His Royal Highness proceeded to cremated the body of Phra Ajahn Nam Chinnawaro.
In addition, His Majesty the King anointed the foundation stone. Phra Ubosot Wat Donsala and His Majesty graciously granted His Royal Highness Prince Worawongse. His Royal Highness Prince Panuphan Yukon invited to lay the foundation stone for the chapel at Wat Donsala on Thursday, August 13, 1960 at 3:00 p.m.
