Revisited (BE2567) ~ Wat Prasart Boonyawas ~ The Place LP Thuad Pilgrimage & Practiced Meditation In The Past ~ Bangkok - Thailand.

Wat Prasart Boonyawas was established around 1833 (BE2376) with originally named Wat Khlong Samsaen because it was near Khlong Samsaen. Later, the name was changed to Wat Khwit because there was a large Makhit tree near the monastery and changed the name again to "Wat Prasart Boonyawas" around 1944 (BE2487). In year 1955 (BE2498) there was a large fire conflagration. That fire lost the monastery until the temple was almost dissolved. At that time, Phra Ajahn Tim (Tim Thammatharo), the abbot of Wat ChangHai RatBuranaram, had a dream that Luang Pu Thuad asked him come and help renovate this temple. Because during the Ayutthaya period, Luang Pu Thuad often came to settle in this area before went to Ayutthaya. After this dream, Phra Ajahn Tim brought the mould and ingredients for making the Luang Pu Thuad amulet came to Wat Prasart Boonyawas. Therefore, it was the beginning of the creation of the sacred objects of Luang Pu Thuad of Wat Prasart Boonyawas, which generated so much fund for the temple that it was able to successfully rebuilt a new Ubosot and other pavillion for Wat Prasart Boonyawas. ***see my previous post for more info monks participated for this batch ceremony amulets.

Visiting Wat Phra Non Laem Pho (BE2566) The Golden Reclining Buddha ~ SongKhla ~ Thailand.

An interesting attraction when you go to Ko Yo island, Songkhla. As you passed through the Tinsulanonda bridge, this temple is just the first left turn from the bridge. The huge golden reclining Buddha is the main attraction and a scenic estuary overlooking the bridge.
Wat Phra Non Laem Pho was located on Ko Yo island. It was built in 1787 during the reign of King Rama III (built more than 200 years ago). Wat Phra Non Laem Pho is believed to be built since the early Rattanakosin period by a monk "PhraKru Thipwasi" (Phrom Kaew) from Wat ThaiYo. As the area of the temple is a cape with a number of "Pho trees", therefore, it is called "Wat Laem Pho". In recent years, the large Golden Reclining Buddha image of nirvana posture was constructed in year 1994 by the temple. It is enshrined outdoors at the foot of the Tinsulanonda Bridge and is eye-catching by the road users.

Revisited In Year BE2566 - Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan - Phra Baromathat Chedi - Nakhon Si Thammarat - Thailand.

I'm blessed by the gigantic the Pagoda standing in the middle of the city center. It was veritably an iconic gem kind of a cultural and religious heritage. As soon as you step onto its grounds, you'll be in awe of the stunning architecture and the serene atmosphere. The towering chedi, adorned with intricate details and gold leaf, is a sight to behold. Inside, you'll find an array of Buddha images, relics, and beautiful murals that showcase the rich history of Buddhism in Thailand.
In early morning came to Wat Mahathat Woramahawihan, it a revered site for worshipping the relics of Lord Buddha (believed to house a tooth of Gautama Buddha). Personally i like this temple and always visit once come to Nakhon Si Thammarat.
The beautiful Yaowarat Gate of temple Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan.
During the time I visited 7.30am morning, the Grand Pagoda (Phra Baromathat Chedi) gate door still not open yet (open everyday at 8.30am morning). Luckily other prayer building open for visit at this early morning time. (***please see my older posted for this temple to see more photos of inside area of Phra Baromathat Chedi).
